So what will you find at Ca Va (pronounced "Saa - Va")? Definitely not your typical Frenchy Frou Frou stuff. Don't get me wrong, I do dig the Frou Frou stuff but that's not entirely me. I'm very influenced by French New Wave films like "A Bout de Souffle" and "Lola" but I also love "Amelie" and the whole French cafe/street market feel. So while I will be catering to the more Frou Frou side, I will also be doing my best to bring in 50's & 60's French nostalgia through art, fashion publications, and anything else I can get my hands on. I'm also huge on French food, naturally, so I will have as many kitchen items as I can source.
My first sale will be at the Irvine Flea Market on July 7th and I have a pretty decent collection of items to bring. I'll leave you with some essential Gainsbourg. Thanks for reading.
